Student Government Association Candidate Application

Complete the candidate application below to apply to become a Student Government Association Officer.

President and Vice President Requirements

  • Must have earned or will earn a minimum of 20 semester hours by the end of semester II of that election year.
  • Shall have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher at the time of their election (PHSC cumulative grade point average can be used if the student has completed at least 12 credit hours). 

Secretary and Treasurer Requirements

  • Shall have an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher at the time of their election (PHSC cumulative grade point average can be used if the student has completed at least 12 credit hours).

Senator Requirements

  • Shall have an overall grade point average of 2.0 or higher at the time of their election (PHSC cumulative grade point average can be used if the student has completed at least 12 credit hours).

Once elected, officers shall maintain their respective grade point averages, as outlined above, throughout their term in office. Officers must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours.
